Fakhar Zaman celebrates after scoring a half-century against Multan Sultans on Monday — PCB Lahore Qalandars' opener Fakhar Zaman picked up from where he left off in the last season during his side's opening clash against Multan Sultans in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Monday.Fakhar was sensational in the tournament opener as he smashed 66 runs off 42 balls, including three boundaries and five maximums.
The left-handed batter took his time to settle as he faced difficulty in the powerplay. However, he was lucky as the top-edge went over the rope twice.With his magnificent innings on Monday, Fakhar completed his 2000 runs in the PSL, becoming only the second player after Babar Azam to do so.It is worth mentioning here that Fakhar was an integral part of the Qalandars' PSL campaign last year. He was the top-scorer of the seventh edition of the PSL, scoring 588 runs.Meanwhile, fans took to Twitter to heap praise on the batter.Here's what they said:
